SJTW does preaching series where the parish spends a few weeks doing a deep dive into a certain topic and the sermons all follow a theme chosen by a team. The theme for Lent 2021 is "Hope in the Desert." I designed this image and logo for the series. This image will be shared online and on the screens in the church and serves as the identity for the theme to help parishioners connect the messages together. I also wrote the below paragraph to introduce the theme to parishioners and visitors. In these difficult and uncertain times, it can feel like we’re lost in the middle of a desert. But we’re not alone, and the desert offers us an opportunity to grow.Every Lent, we walk with Jesus on a journey through…
St. Joseph the Worker has decided to prerecord and broadcast a Mass with full contemporary music the first weekend of each month. This is a great opportunity for people to have music during Mass and for me to practice my video editing skills. The first Contemporary Mass Online was one of our most watched Masses in the past year. You can find it below. https://youtu.be/7BorkblZMF0
My supervisor at St. Joseph the Worker wanted me to share something to encourage parishioners to get the Covid-19 vaccine when they are able. We decided it would be best to create something to make them smile. I used Adobe Creative Cloud to create a "meme" that included a picture of my supervisor receiving his vaccine. The resulting post was one of our most popular posts in the past year and had exceptional reach and engagement on Facebook. You can find it below.
The pope declared this year to be the Year of St. Joseph. I used Adobe Creative Cloud to create some materials to highlight this year and bring it to the audience's attention. A few examples of these materials are below.
To celebrate Christmas safely, St. Joseph the Worker offered an online option for Mass with full music. This required a good deal of video editing and graphic design to promote the Masses. One of the Masses and several promotional images are below: https://youtu.be/mishdDnY47Y
With the pandemic, Christmas Mass was very different this year to maintain safety. This required extensive communication so that parishioners knew what to expect. I designed graphics and edited a video from our pastor to help keep everyone informed. The video and two examples of the graphics are below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZSHWHRO5BU
Here are some examples of St. Joseph the Worker's weekly Sunday Bulletin, a printed publication that keeps parishioners informed of important news for the week. To help spread some Christmas cheer while six feet apart, SJTW devised a drive-by holiday lights tour where people could drive past parishioners' holiday light displays and vote on their favorite. I designed this graphic to promote the tour.
SJTW does preaching series where the parish spends a few weeks doing a deep dive into a certain topic and the sermons all follow a theme chosen by a team. The theme for Advent 2020 is “We're Expecting” I designed this image and logo for the series. This image will be shared online and on the screens in the church and serves as the identity for the theme to help parishioners connect the messages together. I also wrote the below paragraph to introduce the theme to parishioners and visitors. Think of a young couple expecting the birth of their first child. They have a lot to do to prepare themselves and their home for the baby’s arrival.Right now, we’re looking forward to celebrating the arrival of the baby Jesus. We too…
